Dear Isvikingers, we would like to give you an update on the governance of Popsicle Finance together with a team proposal on the fees collected by our stablecoin Fragola Pools!

The Current Situation:

Our current process is based on our own cross chain governance portal, which has served its purpose greatly in the past months. Unfortunately though, keeping the governance portal up and running is extremely time-costly.
Therefore, in order to reduce the workload on our developers and allow them to focus more on our actual products, we have decided to move to a more traditional forum paired with a brand new snapshot page.

The Forum:

The Popsicle Forum is currently being built, and will be live in the next few weeks!
This is the place where our community will be able to discuss every proposal in a more detailed and structured fashion.
Soon after the launch of the forum itself, we will also share a template that will clearly explain what the exact steps for a PIP (Popsicle Improvement Proposal) to be sent to vote and pass are!
Stay tuned for this, it will not take long.

The Snapshot:

On the other hand, our Snapshot page is already up and running, and can be found here.

If you are not familiar with how snapshot works, you can have a read here. Our snapshot will work with the traditional “Balance Of ERC-20” Strategy (i.e your voting power is given by the amount of Ethereum nICE your wallet holds).

In order to create a proposal, at least 4000 nICE will be needed.
This threshold has been decided as it will allow the top 300 wallets to make proposals. If you don’t have enough nICE, you will be able to discuss with the Popsicle Team or other Isvikingers on the forum in order to find someone that will be able to create it for you!

Unfortunately, Snapshot does not allow cross chain voting yet, so nICE holders on other chains will need to be patient and wait for this function to become available in the future. Currently 8m or 96.10% of nICE are on Ethereum so we believe it will not be an issue!

Remember that voting for proposals does not cost any gas fees on Snapshot!

We recommend following the template that will soon be posted before creating proposals on you own, so stay tuned for that!

The Team Proposal:

In order to deploy our stablecoins Fragola pools fast, we will post our Proposal directly on Snapshot.

Take a look at the full proposal and vote here.

TLDR: Setting the performance fee for stablecoin pools at 10%, not 20%.

We can not wait to discuss about it with all of you in our Discord! Make sure to follow us on Twitter!
